Headnod Suite

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The sophomore solo instrumental album from the highly respected Detroit drummer and producer consists of 29 incredibly brief, fragmented beat sketches. The tracking leans heavily on his signature dusty, un-quantized drum programming, masterfully chopping obscure soul and jazz samples into infectious, head-bobbing grooves. The project operates seamlessly in the lineage of J Dilla's legendary beat-tape aesthetic.
