Album Notes & Community Reviews
Operating under his Kassel Jaeger moniker, the Franco-Swiss electroacoustic composer Fran莽ois J. Bonnet delivers a highly academic exploration of synthetic and environmental sound. The title, a German word roughly translating to 'farsickness' or a longing for unseen places, perfectly mirrors the expansive, alienating soundscapes constructed from heavily manipulated field recordings and tense, microtonal drones. It is a deeply immersive, highly textural work affiliated with the legendary GRM institution.
