Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Close to the Fire' ended a studio silence of nearly two decades for Dutch progressive rock band Kayak, reuniting keyboardist Ton Scherpenzeel and drummer Pim Koopman with original vocalist Max Werner. Produced by Scherpenzeel and Koopman, its symphonic rock arrangements balance vintage keyboard textures with contemporary production, and include a new recording of the band's signature song 'Ruthless Queen'.
