The Hollow

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'The Hollow', Keeley Forsyth expands her avant-garde sound into its most dynamic and unsettling form, blending dark ambient, minimalist post-classical, and electronic textures. Her commanding vocal performance, ranging from guttural utterances to stark spoken word, explores themes of grief, confinement, and psychological horror, drawing inspiration from the bleak Yorkshire landscape and personal loss. The album's cinematic and often abstract arrangements, featuring collaborators like Colin Stetson, create a hypnotic and challenging atmosphere that solidifies her position as a uniquely uncompromising artist.
