Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded with his highly acclaimed 'American Quartet'鈥攆eaturing Dewey Redman, Charlie Haden, and Paul Motian鈥攖his studio session highlights the pianist's profound fluency in the avant-garde. The compositions balance highly emotive, lyrical acoustic themes with frantic, unbounded free improvisation, showcasing a telepathic interplay among the ensemble's seasoned members.
