Album Notes & Community Reviews
The quintessential album from Keith Jarrett's hugely popular 'European Quartet.' 'My Song' perfected a highly accessible and influential sound that blended strong, folk-like simplicity with sophisticated improvisation. Featuring Jarrett's gospel-inflected piano and the soaring, singing tone of Jan Garbarek's saxophone, the album was a defining moment for the ECM label and a commercial and critical success that brought a new, younger audience to jazz.
