Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded during an intense residency at the Village Vanguard, this double album captures Jarrett's acclaimed 'European Quartet' featuring Jan Garbarek. The fiery, extended improvisations find the ensemble pushing heavily against the typically pristine, spacious ECM aesthetic toward far more aggressive, post-bop exploration.
