Album Notes & Community Reviews

In a shocking departure from his pioneering post-bop jazz work, the celebrated pianist delivers a bizarre, Dylan-esque folk-rock album. 'Restoration Ruin' features Jarrett singing and overdubbing nearly all the instruments himself, including guitar, harmonica, and soprano saxophone. The anomaly stands as a fascinating, deeply idiosyncratic experiment reflecting the immense cultural gravitational pull of the late-sixties singer-songwriter movement.
