Album Notes & Community Reviews

A masterpiece from Keith Jarrett's highly influential 'American Quartet.' The album consists of a single, continuous suite that is a powerful statement of survival and spiritual rebirth. The music is a brilliant blend of beautiful, folk-like melodies, intense free improvisation, and deep, gospel-inflected grooves. It is a quintessential example of the group's ability to explore the avant-garde while remaining deeply rooted in melody and groove.
