Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded at the Vienna State Opera House, this performance is universally celebrated as a masterpiece of Jarrett's completely unstructured solo piano canon. The profoundly delicate, highly impressionistic improvisations build with remarkably patient structural logic, avoiding typical jazz rhythms in favor of soaring classical lyricism.
