While Bloc Party was on hiatus, frontman Kele Okereke released this wildly energetic, club-oriented solo debut. 'The Boxer' trades jagged indie-rock guitars for throbbing electro-house synths and UK garage beats, fully embracing the dance music influences that were always bubbling beneath the surface of his band's work.
