Album Notes & Community Reviews

'In the Blue Light' is a live album capturing Kelela's 2024 performances at the Blue Note Jazz Club, offering unplugged reinterpretations of her catalog. The arrangements strip away her signature electronic sound in favor of an organic jazz ensemble featuring piano, harp, and a live rhythm section. This acoustic setting places a distinct focus on her vocal performance and the melodic core of her songwriting.
