Album Notes & Community Reviews
Showcasing his multi-instrumental prowess on alto saxophone and flute, Ken McIntyre delivers a compelling set that skirts the edges of the avant-garde. 'Stone Blues' pairs traditional hard bop frameworks with slightly off-kilter, angular improvisations, signaling the looming shift toward freer jazz expressions.
