Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Canadian trio deliberately pivots away from the metallic aggression of their Juno Award-winning material to embrace the abrasive, sludgy noise-rock aesthetics of the 1990s. Seeking authenticity, the band hired legendary engineer Steve Albini to record the sessions entirely live to tape. The bitterly sarcastic lyrics tackle the mundane horrors of corporate employment and the elusive, disappointing nature of the American Dream.
