Album Notes & Community Reviews

This dynamic studio session pits two premier guitarists of the era in a highly complementary, swinging duel. Backed by Donald Byrd and Jackie McLean, the contrast between Raney's cerebral, cool-toned lines and Burrell's earthy, blues-drenched approach provides a masterclass in jazz guitar articulation.
