Album Notes & Community Reviews
Legendary jazz guitarist Kenny Burrell opted for a serene, acoustic-leaning atmosphere on 'Moon and Sand', heavily incorporating Brazilian samba rhythms into his sophisticated cool jazz repertoire. Supported by a subtle rhythm section, the album highlights Burrell's impeccable phrasing and warm, melodic chordal playing. It is a supremely relaxing and elegant showcase of his virtuosic restraint.
