Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking the initial collaboration that would soon blossom into the legendary Kenny Clarke/Francy Boland Big Band, this octet session features a formidable mix of expatriate Americans and top European jazzmen. The arrangements by Boland provide a lush, almost orchestral framework that perfectly highlights Clarke's foundational bebop drumming.
