Album Notes & Community Reviews
The masterful leader debut for the Canadian flugelhornist on the ECM label, backed by a staggering all-star rhythm section of Keith Jarrett, Dave Holland, and Jack DeJohnette. The deeply melodic, melancholic compositions serve as perfect vehicles for the group's highly interactive, spacious post-bop improvisations. It is frequently cited as one of the most sublime and essential jazz recordings of the 1970s.
