Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released shortly before his hip-hop collective BROCKHAMPTON took over the internet, Kevin Abstract's sophomore solo effort leans heavily into highly melodic indie-pop and alternative R&B. Co-produced by Michael Uzowuru, the album operates as a coming-of-age concept record detailing his struggles with bisexuality, secret suburban romance, and family alienation. It firmly established his unique ability to bridge raw rap aesthetics with sweeping, vulnerable pop hooks.
