Album Notes & Community Reviews
'MTV1987' is the ambitious debut studio album by Kevin Abstract, recorded long before his rise to fame with the rap collective Brockhampton. Primarily produced by Romil Hemnani, the project explores the isolation, digital anxiety, and romantic confusion of suburban adolescence over lush, alternative R&B and synth-heavy rap instrumentals. Despite later being removed from streaming services by the artist, it remains a vital foundational document of internet-era hip-hop.
