Album Notes & Community Reviews

Returning to solo work after a decade dominating with Run the Jewels, 'MICHAEL' serves as a deeply autobiographical, gospel-infused southern rap opus. The production relies heavily on soul samples and live choirs, providing a rich, triumphant backdrop for his reflections on his mother's death, his Atlanta upbringing, and Black communal resilience. It is an incredibly passionate, Grammy-winning statement of legacy.
