Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating as a deeply crucial, incredibly raw early release for Cash Money Records, 'The Bloody City' captures the violently unfiltered reality of 90s New Orleans. Kilo G delivers completely unpolished, heavily graphic street narratives directly over the sluggish, bounce-inflected G-funk production of a young Mannie Fresh. The album tragically serves as his final statement before his murder in 1997, remaining a legendary, highly sought-after southern rap classic.
