Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Detour', Kim Petras embraces the abrasive, high-energy textures of the indie sleaze revival, fusing polished electropop with heavy electronic dance music production. The album navigates themes of fame, hedonism, and rebellious individuality within the entertainment industry, propelled by dense, bass-heavy arrangements and hyperpop influences. It serves as a buzzy, anthemic statement that further solidifies her dynamic presence in the modern club-pop landscape.
