Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Kluster' is a duo record in all but billing: Samuli Kosminen plays Pohjonen's accordion and voice back through drum pads and samplers, building the ten tracks, from 'Ulaani' to the 16-minute 'Avanto', out of the instrument itself. The partnership began in August 2000, when Kosminen first sampled Pohjonen's non-standard accordion sounds during sessions connected with the orchestral work 'Kalmuk'.
