Album Notes & Community Reviews

Kind of Like Spitting, the Portland band led by singer-songwriter Ben Barnett, released 'Old Moon in the Arms of the New' as one of four full-lengths Barnett issued in a single year. Its indie folk and Midwest emo songwriting, lo-fi in production and confessional in character, drew comparisons with Elliott Smith, Mark Eitzel, Billy Bragg and Robert Pollard.
