Album Notes & Community Reviews

This profoundly melancholy collaboration brilliantly pairs the deep, bass-heavy dub poetry of Kevin Martin's project with the glacial, heavily processed guitar textures of Christian Fennesz. 'Edition 1' relies on incredibly sparse, minimalist arrangements that allow the deeply introspective, lonely vocal performances to echo into vast, icy spaces. It is a stunning, breathtakingly lush, and intensely atmospheric marriage of trip-hop and ambient drone.
