Formed by Kevin Martin (The Bug) and poet Roger Robinson, the debut from this collaborative project completely subverts the aggressive, club-oriented sounds of London dubstep. The record is incredibly slow, suffocating, and melancholic, utilizing massive sub-bass frequencies and Robinson's whispered, dread-filled vocal delivery to create a deeply unsettling, apocalyptic atmosphere. It is widely considered a masterpiece of mutant 'lover's rock' and modern sound system culture.
