Album Notes & Community Reviews

A cornerstone of the West Coast mid-school hip hop era, characterized by hard-hitting, boom-bap drum programming and aggressive turntable scratching. Produced primarily by DJ Pooh, the beats provide a rugged foundation for boastful, party-oriented lyricism. It was highly influential in shifting the California rap sound towards a tougher, more street-oriented aesthetic before the total dominance of gangsta rap.
