Album Notes & Community Reviews

Pioneering the use of drum machines in a rock context, Arthur Brown's avant-garde outfit utilized the Bentley Rhythm Ace to lay a rigid, mechanical foundation. The chillingly futuristic soundscape is dominated by dense Mellotron layers and Victor Peraino's EMS VCS3 synthesizer, rendering a remarkably ahead-of-its-time exploration of technology and alienation.
