Album Notes & Community Reviews

Kondrashin leads the Amsterdam orchestra through Rimsky-Korsakov's symphonic suite after 'The Thousand and One Nights', with concertmaster Herman Krebbers spinning the solo violin line of Scheherazade herself. Long kept in print since its first issue (catalogue 9500 681), the performance is routinely cited among the reference recordings of the work.
