Album Notes & Community Reviews

Now operating effectively as the solo vehicle for Takaki Horigome, KIRINJI continues to excel at immaculately produced, jazz-inflected pop music. 'Steppin' Out' embraces highly polished synthesizer arrangements, nodding heavily towards the pristine aesthetics of 1980s Japanese City Pop and modern synth-funk. The record is an incredibly smooth, deeply melodic masterclass in sophisticated adult contemporary pop.
