Album Notes & Community Reviews
On 'Town Beat', KIRINJI continues its evolution as a solo project, centering on Takaki Horigome's sophisticated blend of jazz-fusion, indie pop, and funk. The songwriting offers intricate melodic structures and lyrical vignettes of contemporary urban life, delivered with a characteristic cool vocal performance. A polished production aesthetic balances live instrumentation with subtle electronic textures, resulting in a detailed soundscape that is both rhythmically complex and melodically accessible.
