Album Notes & Community Reviews
The debut album of the Klezmer Conservatory Band, founded by Hankus Netsky at Boston's New England Conservatory, 'Yiddishe Renaissance' presents eleven tracks with Don Byron on clarinet, Frank London on cornet and Judy Bressler singing 'Papirosn' and Abraham Goldfaden's 'Rozhinkes Mit Mandlen'. Its crowd-funded release succeeded overnight and led to the band's later contracts with Vanguard and Rounder.
