Album Notes & Community Reviews

Named after the artist's birth year, the project showcases his mastery of soulful sampling and loose, unquantized rhythmic structures. The production utilizes dusty gospel loops and mid-tempo jazz motifs to create a dense and nostalgic nocturnal atmosphere. It represents a further refinement of the 'Stones Throw' beat-making tradition, prioritizing textural warmth and evocative vocal fragments over traditional song form.
