Album Notes & Community Reviews

Created in the wake of the tragic passing of close friends and collaborators (including DJ Rashad and The Spaceape), the Hyperdub founder delivers a remarkably cold, deeply tense solo album. 'Nothing' heavily incorporates the frantic, 160-BPM rhythms of Chicago footwork, yet overlays them with vast, terrifyingly empty dark ambient and drone soundscapes. It is a profoundly suspenseful, intensely rhythmic, and subtly devastating electronic reflection on absence and grief.
