Recorded by producer Vincent Kenis at the Couleur Caf茅 festival in Brussels, 'Live at Couleur Caf茅' presents eight tracks totalling over 56 minutes, including versions of 'Kule Kule' and 'Mama Liza' from the group's 'Congotronics' debut alongside pieces that had never been released before. The album earned a Grammy nomination for Best Traditional World Music Album at the 2008 awards. Its three electrified likemb茅s, amplified through makeshift systems built from salvaged car parts, drive the Bazombo trance repertoire Mingiedi Mawangu founded the group to perform.
