Genug ist nicht genug

Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Genug ist nicht genug', the breakthrough album by Munich singer-songwriter Konstantin Wecker, contains eight songs including the title track and 'Der alte Kaiser'. Its centrepiece is 'Willy', a nine minute spoken ballad modelled on his friend Günter Bauch, who was attacked by right wing radicals, and Wecker repeatedly rewrote the song over the following decades, most recently in response to the Hanau attack. The record established Wecker as a leading voice of his movement, pairing piano led songwriting with antifascist and anticapitalist themes.
