Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced heavily by Marley Marl, 'Road to the Riches' establishes Kool G Rap as a foundational figure in complex, multisyllabic rhyme schemes. The album's lyrical narratives largely focus on street-level realism and crime, prefiguring the thematic concerns of the mafioso rap subgenre.
