Album Notes & Community Reviews

The notoriously eccentric underground rap legend Kool Keith pairs his surreal, free-associative flows with the gritty, sample-heavy production of Los Angeles' Real Bad Man. 'Serpent' anchors Keith's bizarre lyricism over steady boom-bap drum loops and dark jazz samples, providing a surprisingly focused and coherent sonic backdrop. The project serves as a deeply atmospheric addition to the modern underground hip-hop renaissance.
