Album Notes & Community Reviews
Building upon the massive success of his debut, this sophomore record cemented the songwriter's status as a transformative voice in modern country. The tracks鈥攊ncluding the iconic 'Loving Her Was Easier (Than Anything I'll Ever Do Again)'鈥攕howcase a world-weary, intellectually sophisticated take on the country-songwriting form. It remains a cornerstone of the 'outlaw' movement that challenged Nashville鈥檚 rigid traditionalism.
