Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released via the fiercely independent Crass imprint, 'The Eye' showcases the erratic, tribal post-punk origins of several future Sugarcubes members, including a young Bj枚rk. The music is deliberately abrasive and atonal, driven by jagged rhythms and unhinged vocal performances. It remains a crucial snapshot of Iceland's burgeoning avant-garde underground scene prior to their international breakthrough.
