Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced primarily by her long-time collaborator Yasutaka Nakata, the Harajuku pop icon's fifth studio album marks a vibrant, highly energetic return to form. 'Candy Racer' infuses her signature quirky, hyper-sweet J-pop melodies with aggressive club aesthetics, incorporating driving 1990s techno beats and house rhythms. The project successfully updates her colorful, internet-age sound with mature, floor-filling electronic production.
