Album Notes & Community Reviews

La Dispute's debut is a landmark of the 'Wave' post-hardcore movement. Jordan Dreyer's spoken-word delivery and frantic screams narrate complex, literary stories over dynamic, post-rock influenced instrumentation. It is an intense, emotional concept album based on Asian folktales and personal heartbreak.
