Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following a prolonged five-year gap and the departure of co-producer Ben Langmaid, Elly Jackson takes full creative control of the La Roux moniker. The album sheds the icy, abrasive 1980s synth-pop of her debut in favor of incredibly warm, tropical disco and lush funk grooves. The sensual, summery production serves as a brilliant backdrop for themes of fraught romance and personal liberation.
