Album Notes & Community Reviews

The sophomore release from Tilo Wolff's gothic project pushed further into theatrical, deeply sorrowful territories. 'Einsamkeit' blends stark, classical-inspired piano and synthesizer arrangements with dramatic, German-language vocal lamentations. The album was instrumental in defining the emerging Neue Deutsche Todeskunst movement, establishing Lacrimosa as premier architects of European darkwave.
