Sketches of the Red Districts

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Returning to examine their conceptual origins in the Slovenian mining town of Trbovlje, the avant-garde industrial pioneers deliver a stark and highly imposing record. 'Sketches of the Red Districts' eschews the band's recent theatrical pop covers for cold, unrelenting mechanical noise and dark ambient soundscapes. The album acts as a brutalist, historically reflective re-engagement with their earliest, most controversial aesthetics.
