Album Notes & Community Reviews

Formed by former members of Moonshake, Laika synthesized driving polyrhythmic percussion, dub-heavy basslines, and swirling electronics on their debut album. The record bridges the gap between cerebral post-rock and the burgeoning trip-hop movement, standing out for its hypnotic grooves and Margaret Fiedler's sensual, whispery vocals.
