Album Notes & Community Reviews

The debut album by Chicago band L'altra, built around vocalists Joseph Costa and Lindsay Anderson, 'Music of a Sinking Occasion' arranges ten slowcore and post-rock songs with chamber instrumentation from Chicago jazz and rock musicians. Cellist Fred Lonberg-Holm and trumpeter Rob Mazurek contribute to its hushed, melancholic architecture of guitar, keyboards and brass.
