Album Notes & Community Reviews

Written and recorded following frontman Randy Blythe's harrowing incarceration and subsequent acquittal in a Czech prison regarding a fan's death. The lyrics directly address the trauma, isolation, and legal nightmare of his imprisonment, injecting intense, personal fury into the band's signature thrash-groove machinery. Surprisingly, the record also introduces sparse moments of clean singing, expanding their famously uncompromising assault.
