Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following up the highly polished, massively successful 'Sacrament', the Virginia quintet opted for a noticeably rawer, stripped-down production style on their sixth album. The record relies entirely on Chris Adler's punishing drum grooves and Mark Morton's intricate, galloping thrash-metal riffs, bypassing excessive studio editing to capture a visceral live energy. It debuted at number two on the Billboard 200, securing their position at the forefront of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal.
